Read a submitted organizer by exception — what changed from last year — and turn it into work.
A submitted organizer is forty questions you already know the answer to and three you don't. The review screen is built to show you the three.
Where to find it
Read by exception
Changed from last year is the filter that matters. It shows only answers that differ from the prior year.
Read that first, every time. On a returning client it's usually a handful of items: a new dependent, a property sold, a job changed. Those are the things that affect the return. The other thirty-seven answers confirming last year's position don't need your attention.
Show unchecked surfaces what the client left blank — the other place real information hides. A blank on a required item means they didn't have it or didn't understand the question, and both are worth knowing before you start.
Flagging
Flag a question for follow-up with Save flag, and filter to Flagged only to work through them.
Flags are the handoff mechanism. A preparer reviewing an organizer flags what needs a conversation, and whoever makes that call works the flagged list rather than re-reading the whole thing.
Write the flag as a question you'd actually ask. Confirm rental converted to personal use in June is workable. Check this is not.
Turning it into work
Work → creates or opens the job for this organizer.
Where the template has a job template attached, submission creates the work automatically and this is just the link to it. Where it doesn't, this is where the return begins.
Prior-year import
Import prior return brings last year's return in so this year's organizer arrives pre-filled and the changed-from-last-year comparison has something to compare against.
Doing this before you send is what makes the whole review-by-exception approach work. Without a prior year, everything reads as changed, and you're back to reading forty answers.

Notes and limits
- Answers stay attached to the client and the year.
- A submitted organizer can still be viewed in full — the filters are lenses, not restrictions.
- Flags are internal and not visible to the client.
- Re-importing a prior return doesn't overwrite answers the client has already given.
