Make LedgerOS open where you work
Choose what happens when you sign in, and how tasks open — two settings worth two minutes.
Two personal settings that change how the app feels every single day. Both take a moment and neither is discoverable unless someone tells you.

What happens when you sign in
Three options:
My default tabs — open the same set of tabs every login. Right if your day has a fixed shape: my tasks, the pipeline board, and the inbox, every morning.
The tabs I had open last time — resume exactly where you left off. Right during a long piece of work spanning several days, or if your days don't repeat.
A single page — open one page and nothing else. Right if you have one place you always start and would rather not be presented with six.
Most people want default tabs. Preparers deep in one client for a week often prefer resume-last.
Where a single page points
If you choose a single page, you pick which one. It can be a general page — your tasks, the pipeline, the dashboard — or a specific client, which is genuinely useful during a large one-client job.
How tasks open
Tasks can open expanded in place, or in a panel.
Try both for a day each. Which is better depends on whether you work mostly from a list, checking one thing at a time, or dive into a task and stay there.
Why bother
The default is fine and you'll never think about it. But you sign in something like five hundred times a year, and landing where your work actually is beats landing somewhere generic and navigating from there.
It's also the cheapest thing to fix for a colleague who says the app feels awkward. Nine times in ten they're starting somewhere that doesn't match how they work.
Notes and limits
- These are per person, not per firm. Everyone sets their own.
- Changing them takes effect at your next sign-in.
- A single-page landing pointing at a client you lose access to falls back gracefully.
